Check Browser Tool

To minimize conflicts between WebCT 4.x and a user's Internet browser, WebCT has added a Check Browser tool to the login page. This tool will help users optimize their browser's performance with WebCT 4.x. We strongly recommend users check their browser's compatibility with WebCT 4.x the first time they attempt to access their WebCT course and make the necessary adjustments to their browser's configuration before they access their course.

Steps

1 From the login page, click the Check Browser link.

2 The resulting page will identify the user's Internet browser and determine whether or not that version is optimized for using WebCT 4.x.

3 The user may improve the performance of their browser by clicking the link to the Browser Tuneup Page. This page will identify the operating system in use and provide links to necessary browser resources such as download sites, support bulletins, and plug-in sites. If the user determines their browser is not appropriate for supporting WebCT 4.x, they are presented with steps for preparing their browser settings and downloading the necessary patches or plug-ins.
