>> Dr. Brown's Biography
The programs in Health Sciences, Human Performance, Science and Engineering at Ocean County College are leaders in academic advances and professional education in nursing, allied health, health and human performance, science and engineering. The faculty articulates a vision that is focused on our intent to make a vital contribution to the health of the citizens of Ocean County and beyond.
We are justly proud of the excellence of our nursing program which is one of the finest in the State of New Jersey. The One Day per Week Nursing Program's first class just had a 100% pass rate on the RN-NCLEX exam!
We
have dramatically ramped up our
program to address the nursing
shortage. In addition to our
day and evening RN Program options,
our award winning One Day per Week Nursing Program will allow committed, motivated
individuals who are currently
employed in the health care field
to complete an RN program by
attending class only one day
per week (primarily on-site in
host hospitals) supplemented
by web-assisted instruction.

Our science program now has a joint admissions program with Kean University for students in Biology and Chemistry. The addition of the STARS program has made OCC a powerhouse for pre-med, pre-dent, pre-vet and basic science education.
Likewise, our Engineering program offers a joint admissions program with the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
The COMETS (Career-Oriented Mathematics, Engineering, Technology and Science) is a brand new partnership between Ocean County’s school districts, business, industry, the NAVAIR program at the Naval Air Engineering Station (NAES) Lakehurst and Ocean County College to promote the study of math and science.
Our
School has been successful largely
because our faculty and administration
have continually focused on meeting
the needs of current and incoming
students. We understand that
education is our most important
activity, and we take pride in
our creative, flexible, student-oriented
approach to education. We also
recognize the important link
between education and practice
and between education and our
community, Ocean County.
