If
you are interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree
in engineering, you may want to take advantage
of our joint admissions agreement with the New
Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), Newark.
Under the agreement, you are admitted simultaneously
to the engineering associate degree program at
Ocean County College and in a designated baccalaureate
degree program at NJIT. Satisfactory completion
of the OCC program results in automatic transfer
to NJIT with full junior status--even the application
to NJIT is waived. Admission to NJIT is guaranteed
for students who complete their degree and maintain
at least a 2.00 GPA.
An Engineering Degree at Half the Cost
For those students
planning to transfer to NJIT under the
Joint Admissions Program, the following courses
are recommended in addition to the basic
engineering curriculum at OCC.
