Scott Heilman, is an Assistant Professor in the Health and Human Performance Department. He teaches HEHP 225 Contemporary Health, HEHP 150 Swimming I, HEHP 151 Swimming II, HEHP 210 Karate I, HEHP 211 Karate II, and HEHP 153 Open Water Scuba Diving. He oversees the Ocean County’s largest scuba Search and Rescue Training Program and directs the Scuba Search and Rescue team for Long Beach Township Beach Patrol.

For the past 10 years he has developed his swim coaching skills at the Olympic Training Centers in Colorado and Lake Placid. This training has allowed him to develop a clear understanding of the state-of-the-art physical, technical and motivational techniques used to make U.S.A. Swimming the dominate force in the world swim forum. Professor Heilman says that he really enjoys motivating the county’s youth to do the most with their health and sport abilities.
