Teaching Philosophy
  • You may have your grade lowered or you may be dropped for excessive absence.   Excessive absence is defined as missing more than 10% of the total number of hours that the course meets (five days for the semester).   It is important that you participate within the class on a regular basis.  Before midterm, you will be dropped from the roll if you have stopped attending class. You will receive a grade of "W." After the semester midterm, any student who is dropped will receive a grade of "F" for the course. Hence, if you are not able to complete the course it is in your best interest to drop the course before the midterm deadline. All drops are administered through the school admissions office. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND that if you are having problems, and you wish to successfully complete the course, then it is very important for you to contact me for help.

  • Technology:  I use minimal technology in the classroom.  But all my courses are web enhanced.  This means that I use ocean cruiser to post announcements and assignments, online discussions, and online quizzing.
