Our Mission

In conjunction with the mission of Ocean County College, the Mathematics Department strives to provide the highest quality of instruction in Mathematics, thus contributing to the excellent learning centered liberal arts collection for which the College is well known. For those students interested in pursuing a degree in mathematics or related fields, the Department assists and offers encouragement.

Mathematics is a rapidly growing discipline, which embodies concepts, applications, and technology that play an ever-increasing part in modern life. Therefore, the Mathematics Department offers a curriculum for all students, which enhances their understanding of mathematical thought, and supports the mathematical needs of other academic disciplines.
