AS in General Studies Degree with a Concentration in Science - Online

This degree is ideal for students who wish to explore a career field in science and build their degree totally online. Students are no longer limited by time, distance, work and/or family responsibilities. You can obtain this degree no matter where you are physically located- from anywhere in the United States that provides you with internet access. This degree features "hands on" laboratories directed by distance education. Students who are in the United States Military may find this a convenient way to earn an AS in General Studies in spite of travel that may require you to move from base to base. Take OCC with you as you move!

Students should plan to meet the requirements for the Associate in Science degree with a concentration in science by completing:

a. At least 18 hours beyond college core curriculum from one college department (science).
b. A minimum of 30 hours of general education courses.
c. Sufficient additional hours to meet the general requirements for the degree as outlined in the section on degrees.
