 Tech Prep opens to every student the full range of
occupations and opportunities available in today's
technologically sophisticated global workplace. It
utilizes a performance based program of academic preparation
which combines hands-on-learning with an articulated
curriculum linking the resources of Ocean County's
secondary and postsecondary educational systems.
Ocean County's Tech Prep program is a dynamic element
of the county's overall goal to develop a world-class
workforce for the twenty-first century. By establishing
partnerships throughout the county dedicated to tearing
down the walls dividing education, employers, students,
and the community, Tech Prep offers unlimited opportunities
to reinforce the excitement possible in the educational
process.
The ultimate goal of Ocean County's Tech Prep program
is the creation of a citizenry adept at all aspects
of technology, capable of meeting rapid workplace changes,
and prepared for lifelong learning in an ever-changing,
ever-challenging environment.
