Admissions Process Checklist
- Step 1:
- Decide if you will be attending part-time (up to
11 credits) or full-time (at least 12 credits)
- Step 2:
- Fill out the application for admission.
Part-time students:
must provide the following documents with your application:
a high school transcript or GED diploma or proof of
18 years of age and proof of residency (see application
for acceptable documents).
Full-time students:
must provide high school transcripts or GED diploma
or proof of 18 years of age and proof of residency
(see application for acceptable documents). SAT scores
are required for students entering the Honors Program
or Early Admissions Program. Nursing program applicants
are required to take the ACT or SAT.
- Step 3:
- Mail or drop off all required documents to the
Admissions & Records Office, which is located
on the first floor of the Administration Building.
Steps After You've Been Accepted
- Step 1:
- Complete a Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA). This form is available in the Financial
Aid Office, in any high school guidance office
or online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
. OCC's Federal School Code is 002624. If
you need assistance or have questions about
financial aid, contact the Financial Aid Office
at 732.255.0310.

Step 2:
- Call the Testing Center within 7 days of being
accepted to schedule a date to take the College
Skills Placement Test. 732.255.0401. If you
score 500 or higher in math and/or verbal on
the SAT, you will be exempt from the corresponding
segment of the College Placement Test.

Step 3:
- Call or visit the Advising, Counseling, Career
& Transfer Office within two weeks of receiving
your placement test results for academic advising,
course scheduling and new student orientation.

- Contact the Cashier's Office to choose a payment
option. Payment is required at the time of registration.
