Residency Definitions
Ocean County Residents
Any person with a permanent Ocean County Address is an Ocean County resident. Proof of residency is a valid New Jersey Voter Registration card, a Motor Vehicle Registration, a driver's license, or a County ID card. Ocean County College admissions priority is given to Ocean County residents. (Armed Forces personnel and their dependents stationed in Ocean County are considered Ocean County residents.)
Out-of-County Resident
A resident of a New Jersey county other than Ocean County.
Out-of-Country Resident
A person in the United States who is not of permanent residence, with non-immigrant status as defined by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service. Persons in this category may need to file an I-20 student visa form.
