Office of Institutional Quality (IQ)
Office
of IQ Mission and Goals
The Office of Institutional
Quality reports to the college president and works to
coordinate all areas of the college to devlop a strategic
plan that insures that each is committed to achieving
the college's vision, values, and mission and also to
create a campus culture of assessment.
- The office coordinates
all activities related to institutional self-studies
and follow-up reports for the Middle States Commission
of Higher Education (MSCHE).
- The Office supervises
the review, revision and re-alignment of the college's
culture statements and works to see that these
are actively addressed in strategic planning, budgeting,
and institutional assessment.
- The office also
develops the college's Strategic Planning Document
and records the progress of the achievement or modification
of plan's objectives.
- The Assistant
to the President for Institutional Quality co-chairs
the college's Advisory Council to the President
for Planning and Budgeting (PBC) to guarantee
that departmental plans/budgets are aligned with the
strategic plan and to prioritize all new money requests
for recommendation to the President.
- The IE Office maintains
an electronic library of data related to institutional
assessment (see Key
Performance Targets) for use by the President
and his leadership staff and also facilitates directed
data-based studies.
- The office develops and conducts
local web-based surveys for assessment purposes
as well as conducting web-based research to locate
and disseminate models for emergent applications.
- The office develops and facilitates
Process Improvement Teams that address major
targets of opportunity revealed by assessment
outcomes or other performance measures.
- IE also
assists with the coordination between the assessment
of student learning and institutional effectiveness.
An annual report on Institutional
Effectiveness is issued to the college community.
