 Statement
of Ocean County College's Mission Ocean County College is a publicly supported community
college which encourages and promotes academic excellence,
career advancement, lifelong learning, and cultural
enrichment for people within and beyond the County.
Ocean County College, the first county college in New
Jersey, dedicates itself to the discovery, preservation,
and dissemination of knowledge; the development of student
character; and the preparation of its students to thrive
in a complex and challenging world. Embracing its role
as an educational leader, the college offers comprehensive
instructional programs and student support services
in a learning-centered environment. Faculty, staff,
students, alumni, and community members work together
as partners to advance and promote the college as the
leading cultural, social, and educational center of
the county. Ocean County College welcomes students to
this progressive, stimulating, and caring collegiate
environment.
