Conceptualize project
Establish collaborative relationships with faculty and staff members at OCC and other interested community groups or individuals
Complete the Grant Development Intake Form for preliminary approval
Develop the proposal narrative and project budget (independently or in collaboration with the Grants Department)
Identify the source(s) of any required matching funds and secure approval from the OCC department dean/director and vice president, and/or external funding sources.
Secure all necessary institutional approvals with the DI-54: OCC Outside Funding Concurrence Form prior to final delivery of the proposal to the Grants Department funding agency submission
Comply with state regulations and institutional policies and procedures including human resource hiring/management, procurement, travel, and subcontractor relations.
Manage project funds, including expending funds within the project period and designated budget categories
Request budget modifications and no-cost extensions through the Grants Department
Complete and submit project reports
