• Purpose: OCC will install a new CHP plant, which will result in the expansion of the distribution system as needed to supply campus buildings with hot and chilled water.

• Project:  Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Perkins Grant
• Amount: $369,719

• Purpose:  To develop more fully the academic, career and technical skills of OCC students through instruction, equipment and supplies, professional development, student travel and tutoring. The emphasis for this funding cycle will be those Career Clusters that support workforce development, economic development and stakeholder partnerships.

• Project: Displaced Homemaker Center of Ocean County
• Purpose: provides funding for services designed to meet the needs of displaced homemakers in Ocean County. Services will foster the development of career and job skills so clients and their families will become economically self-sufficient.

• Award amount:$75,000

• Purpose: To provide support services for former OCC Students who have left the institution without earning a degree or certificate

• Project: The Student Support Services (SSS)
• Funding Amount: $220,000 each year for five years
• Funding cycle: September 1, 2010
• Duration: Five-year program
• Purpose: The SSS program purpose is to increase the retention and graduation rates of qualifying students via targeted support services including academic tutoring; advice and assistance in postsecondary course selection, assist students with information on student financial aid programs, benefits and resources for locating public and private scholarships; assistance in completing financial aid applications; services designed to improve the financial and economic literacy of students; and assistance in applying for admission to, and obtaining financial assistance for enrollment in four­year programs.

• Purpose: provide residents with a local GED testing center in order for them to pursue their educational and career goals.

• Purpose: To offer a concert series which integrates choral and instrumental music performed by artists of varying ages and degrees of musical competency, combining students and senior citizens with professional musicians from the tri-state area.
