• Project: Carl D. Perkins Career & Technical Education Entitlement Grant
• Purpose:  to develop more fully the academic, vocational and technical skills of postsecondary students pursuing vocational and technical education.
• Award amount: $369,719
• Funding cycle: July 1, 2009 - June 30, 2010

• Purpose: provides funding for services designed to meet the needs of displaced homemakers in Ocean County. Services will foster the development of career and job skills so clients and their families will become economically self-sufficient.

• Purpose: act as a regional center for learning disabled students to receive academic support including skill development, learning strategies, tutoring, counseling and leadership training.

• Purpose: provide residents with a local GED testing center in order for them to pursue their educational and career goals.

Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission/NJ Council of the Arts

• Project: Ocean County College Community Chorus
• Purpose: offer a concert series which integrates choral and instrumental music performed by artists of varying ages and degrees of musical competency, combining students and senior citizens with professional musicians from the tri-state area.
