Data Analysis

Logger data from the multimedia cards will be analyzed by the Project Director and incorporated into monthly data sheets. This data analysis will be published on the Ocean County College Anemometer Program (OCCAP) website and used for quarterly reporting to the OCE and partners. The data sheets will be presented raw and presented by industry accepted practices, should they exist, such that wind power consumers may make informed decisions regarding what size and type of Wind Turbine will produce a specific power output for their area here at the Jersey Shore. Users may also obtain the raw data directly from the OCCAP website for their own purposes. Nominal costs for standard Wind Turbines, wind turbine components, and wind turbine maintenance, will be included, and payback figures for Wind Turbine projects will be calculated, based on projected utilities energy price increases.
