School Relations will use collaborative partnerships to bring together representatives from local education agencies. Ocean County College has taken a leading role in the development of innovative curricula and programs to enrich teaching and learning in Ocean County schools.
Faculty will work with classroom teachers to:
- Infuse New Jersey's Core and Cross Content curriculum standards
- Master and use the newest technology
- Integrate mathematics, science and technology
- Acquire world language proficiency
- Build a dialog for learning that will benefit all students
- Encourage and support K-12 personnel participation in workshops designed to fulfill the 100 hour professional development requirement.
- Assist teachers in obtaining a Master's Degree through a partnership with Kean University
- Bring custom-designed workshops to your site
- Plan a Professional Development Day for your teachers to be held at OCC
- Participate in Professional Development Workshops
- Participate in Tech Prep workshops
- Plan career exploration events for students on the OCC campus
- Participate in student competitions that put theory into practice
