Ocean County College offers a 7-hour seminar to prepare nurses to become substitute school nurses. Licensed New Jersey RN's will learn how to employ successful nursing techniques, procedures and skills; how to gain and sustain appropriate rapport with students; how to clearly articulate doctors' orders and procedures. Participants will update their clinical skills.


Prerequisites: Must be a New Jersey licensed Registered Nurse and provide a copy of current valid RN License; must have at least 60 college credits and provide an official transcript in a sealed envelope; must successfully undergo a criminal background check; and must provide proof of a negative Mantoux (TB) test.
