The Campus Security and Public Safety Department
The Security Department consists of full and part time officers, reservist ,an outside contractor, and Toms River Police who patrol the Campus twenty-four hours a day seven days a week to safeguard and serve the college community.
Uniformed officers are primarily responsible for regulating the flow of traffic, enforcement of parking regulations and college policies, and responding to any emergency that arises. These officers are certified in CPR/AED, First Aid, Oxygen Administration, and State S.O.R.A. training. The officers also receive training through the Ocean County Police Academy, Toms River Police, and various other State and Local Agencies.
The Security Office
The security office, located in the Security / Welcome Center building at the South end of Lot #1. It is open and staffed 24 hours a day. From off-campus, security can be reached at 732.255.0451 or, on campus at ext. 2170. While on campus if you have an emergency help can be reached by using the emergency telephone system (usually a red phone) located throughout the buildings. Parking lots #1 and #2 have call boxes, the poles have a blue light and a flashing strobe.
Parking Permits
Student parking permits are not required to park on the Campus. Students must park within white lines in parking lots 1 & 2. All other areas will be ticketed for illegal parking.
ID Cards
Students can obtain their ID card in the Security Office which is located in the Welcome Center at the South end of lot 1. Please bring your current schedule or paid receipt and a picture drivers license, passport, or a picture County ID.
Parking Ticket Payments
Parking tickets can be paid at the Accounting Office on the second floor of the Administration Building, or mailed in with the envelope provided.
