The Planetarium building is currently under renovation.
We look forward to re-opening Fall 2010.

Please check back frequently for further information as the project progresses. Meanwhile, we will be offering a variety of events outside of the planetarium theater.

We are currently undergoing renovation for an exciting new future! Our 35-year old Minolta star projector will be replaced by a brand new, fiber-optic based star projector creating a bright crisp rendition of the night sky for traditional earth-based astronomy presentations. The 200 or so additional projectors and special effects that created planetary landscapes and all of our other visuals will also be replaced. A full-dome video system will take their place, turning the Novins Planetarium dome into a 3-dimensional video space that will allow our presenters to take you on a journey through the known universe, under the oceans, or even through the human body.
