In compliance with State of New Jersey regulations, Ocean County College is required to inform the state when students officially withdraw from courses or drop below 12 degree eligible credit hours. In order to determine and maintain your NJ STARS eligibility you must complete this form and return it to the Financial Aid Office in a timely manner.

The NJ STARS Withdrawal and Drop Form states exactly how many credits the student will withdraw from their schedule. Students who fall below 12 degree-seeking credits per semester will lose STARS eligibility. If a student withdraws from a course after the Ocean County College Drop/Add deadline, the student will be responsible for partial or full payment for the credits dropped. NJ STARS students are required to contact Elaine Schardien, Coordinator of NJ STARS at eschardien@ocean.edu or Anna Maria Harrisson at aharrisson@ocean.edu before dropping or withdrawing from a course.

Your STARS eligibility will be based on this projection of credit hours attendance.  Failure to report withdrawals and drops may affect your NJ STARS awards and the ability for you to continue in the program.
