Confidentiality and Privacy
Federal
law and professional ethical guidelines protect your
right to privacy. All counseling sessions, referrals,
and consultations are kept strictly confidential,
except where disclosure is legally required. Confidential
information will not be shared with anyone without
your written consent. Furthermore, no confidential
information is released to anyone without your authorization.
Disclosure can only be required by a court order,
when there is imminent danger of serious harm to
self or others caused by you.
Your knowledge of harm being committed against a child, an elderly or incapacitated
person may be legally disclosed.
