Seminar Description
A great 11 day/10 night guided archaeological and cultural
journey to some of the most impressive and beautiful
Maya sites of Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. With a Maya
archaeologist as your guide, you will explore major
archaeological sites, Spanish colonial towns, traditional Maya
villages and markets, meet a practicing Maya shaman, swim in
ancient Maya cenotes, and take a boat trip through the most
important ecological reserve in the Yucatan. Your seminar
concludes with a stay at the white sandy beaches of Playa del
Carmen.
Day Trips
Ocean County College also offers day trips to many exciting destinations. Our trips are first rate with comfortable motor coach transportation, reservations in fine restaurants, and tours of unique, educational destinations provided by professional tour guides. We believe that after attending an Ocean County College trip you will not only have had an enjoyable experience but will have learned something new and interesting.
Trips are open to all age groups appropriate to the destination. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Trips depart from Ocean County College Parking Lot #2 Main Campus. An additional Jackson pick-up can be arranged.
