The Electronic Health Record (EHR) and CEHRS Exam Prep for Allied Health Careers Online
The United States healthcare system in turning to technology, shifting from paper recordkeeping to electronic health records. This will affect everyone working in healthcare today. Topics include the use of the EHR in ambulatory and hospital facilities. Obtain an understanding of why electronic records are needed, what they can do, how they are used, and the terminology of EHR systems. The instruction proceeds from introductory material to coverage of the specific features and functions of electronic health records. Gain hands-on experience working with an electronic health records software package. This course is ideal for those currently working in healthcare seeking national certification. Preparation for the NHA National Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist Exam (CEHRS) is provided with study guide. Exam is optional and the cost of the exam ($105) is not included in tuition. Access to the Internet/OCC website required. Textbook and access code required and must be purchased from the OCC Bookstore.
