The Medical Records Technician Certificate
Program provides you with complete preparation
to join one of the fastest growing industries.
This administrative position assists in medical
research and reimbursement, maintenance of medical
records, and quality assurance. The program
equips you with the practical skills needed for
a career change, advancement, or independent contracting
out of your home.
Earning A Certificate
Required Courses

- Medical Billing/Insurances

- Coding and Abstracting
(CEHS 118)
Certificates are
awarded to those individuals who complete six (6)
required courses and one (1) elective course.
Certain courses have prerequisites within the program
which must be taken first. Choose the courses
to fit your personal schedule. For each course
in the certificate series, you must earn a certificate
of Continuing Education Units, CEUs, indicating
a passing grade and at least 80% attendance of class.
The Department of Continuing and Professional Education
will issue you a Certificate of Completion upon
receipt. All courses in the series may also
be taken on a non-certificate basis.
