Electronic Health Record (EHR) and CEHRS Exam Prep for Allied Health Careers

The United States healthcare system is turning to technology, shifting from paper recordkeeping to electronic health records.  This will affect everyone working in healthcare today.  This course covers the use of the EHR in ambulatory and hospital facilities.  Obtain an understanding of why electronic records are needed, what they can do, how they are used, and the terminology of EHR systems.  The instruction proceeds from introductory material to coverage of the specific features and functions of electronic health records.  Gain hands-on experience working with an electronic health records software package.  Preparation for the NHA Certified Electronic Health Record Specialist Exam (CEHRS) is provided and the cost of the exam is included in the tuition.  Required text: TBA.
