Disability Services

As a full or part-time student with a disability at Ocean County College, free disability services are available through the Center for Student Success (CSS).

Accessing Services

To access services, an eligibility file needs to be established with Disability Services.  Please visit our How to Access Services page for more information.

Written Plan for Classroom and Testing Accommodations

After establishing eligibility, students will need to meet with a CSS Staff Member to discuss and/or revise their Accommodation Plan.  The institution (OCC) decides eligibility under Section 504/ADA and the appropriateness of the accommodations at the postsecondary level based on the intake information, documentation, and information that is shared with the CSS staff.

Academic Advising

Students can meet with a CSS staff member to discuss Academic Advising questions and academic progress.  A CSS staff member will schedule regular group advising to assist students in developing class schedules.  A CSS staff member's signature is required on the registration form for students taking developmental courses.  Appointments are available for students to discuss academic progress, campus support, and accommodation issues.
