Liberal Arts Program

The Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university. The degree program includes 45 credits of General Education courses plus elective courses for a minimum total of 64 credits.

History

  • Two (2) History courses (6 credits) selected from the list of Approved General Education Courses (course type: GHIS)

Humanities

  • Three (3) Humanities Courses (9 credits) selected from the list of Approved General Education Courses (course type: GHUM)

Diversity

  • One (1) Diversity course (3 credits) selected from the list of Approved General Education Courses (course type: GHUM)
    (May count as another general education requirement)

Social Science

  • Two (2) Social Science Courses (6 credits) selected from the list of Approved General Education Courses (course type: GSOC)

Mathematics – Science – Technology (12 credits)

  • One math course, one lab science course, and one technology course* (9 credits)
    and
  • Complete the 12 credit requirement with any additional math, science, or technology course from the list of Approved General Education Courses.
    *Students may attempt to “test out” of the technology requirement. If they succeed, they must take an additional course(s) in math, science, or technology from the List of Approved General Education Courses.
