New Jersey Statewide General Education Foundation
Most New Jersey Colleges and Universities share a common foundation of general education courses. This means that Ocean County College students can transfer all credits required to complete the OCC Associate Degree into a wide variety of baccalaureate programs at participating institutions. OCC also has a variety of specific transfer agreements with many colleges and universities.

Ocean County College and Kean University have established a partnership that enables area residents to complete selected upper division and graduate level programs on the campus of Ocean County College. Undergraduate degree programs in Accounting, Biology, Criminal Justice, English, Elementary Education, Finance, Graphic Design, History, Management, Marketing, Nursing, Physical Education, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, and Special Education are currently offered. Graduate programs include master's degrees in Educational Leadership and Counselor Education, Nursing, Public Administration, as well as an Executive MBA. Albright College Dual Admission Agreement
Ocean County College graduates are guaranteed admission into a Bachelor’s Degree program with junior status at Albright College on the condition that they: graduate from Ocean County College with an Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree or Associate in Science (A.S.) Degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0; complete a “Dual Admissions Intent” form; and satisfy all other Albright College transfer admission requirements. All Dual Admissions students can take one Albright College course per year free of charge while enrolled as an Ocean County College student (maximum of three courses lifetime). Ocean County College students are eligible for the following scholarship opportunities on the basis of their final grade point averages at OCC:
- $12,500 with a GPA of 3.8 or higher
- $10,000 with a GPA of 3.6 to 3.79
- $ 7,500 with a GPA of 3.4 to 3.59
- $ 5,000 with a GPA of 3.2 to 3.39
Ocean County College students with a variety of associate degree options can achieve seamless transfer to the Berkeley College B.B.A. / B.S. Degree in Accounting, General Business, Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Information Systems Management, Justice Studies, Health Services Management, and Human Resources Management. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 and may transfer a minimum of 60 semester credits. Berkeley will offer scholarships to Ocean County College Associate Degree graduates
Fairleigh Dickinson Burgundy and Blue Connection
Ocean County College participates in a formal articulation program with Fairleigh Dickinson University. The Burgundy-Blue Connection (B-BC), the program is available to any student who is currently matriculated or intends to matriculate at Ocean County College. Participants must first receive an associate degree from Ocean County College. Upon transfer to Fairleigh Dickinson, they are awarded a B-BC Achievement Grant of approximately four thousand dollars ($4,000.00). Two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) will be awarded each of the first two years of full-time study at Fairleigh Dickinson University. In addition Burgundy-Blue Connection students are eligible for academic achievement scholarships plus need-based financial assistance. Ocean County College students accepted for transfer will be treated on an equal basis with currently enrolled students with regard to financial aid and other student support services.
Fairleigh Dickinson Degree Completion
Ocean County College graduates in A.A. or A.S. degree programs may transfer up to a maximum of 64 credits to the Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies with concentrations in Hotel and Restaurant Management or Business and Technology. Courses in excess of 64 credits are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Classes required to complete these degrees are offered on the Ocean County College campus or one of its satellite facilities.
Ocean County College has entered into an articulation agreement with Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio, which is an accredited online bachelor's degree business university. Most programs at Franklin University will accept the entire associate degree from Ocean County College and up to 20-24 additional OCC credits. Franklin University offers the following BS degree programs online: Accounting; Applied Management; Business Administration; Computer Science; Digital Communication; Health Care Management; Information Technology; Management; Management Information Sciences; and Public Safety Management. Franklin University offers financial aid for eligible students.
Georgian Court College Dual Degree Agreements
Ocean County College participates in Dual Degree Agreements for five specific degree programs. Students participating in this dual degree program will be taking courses at Ocean County College that will expedite and facilitate their progress toward a bachelor’s degree at Georgian Court College.
