Ocean County College Athletics was honored with a number of distinctions in the Summer 2008 Special Academic Issue of the JUCO Review.
The Ocean County College Athletic Program was ranked number 17 in the nation this past year by the National Alliance of Two Year College Athletic Administrators (NATYCAA). These rankings are based on performance at the national level.
The Athletic Department also had 6 of our teams recognized for being Academic Team of the Year with our Men's Swim Team as the Academic Team of the year, having the highest team GPA of all two-year schools. Other sports recognized with a 3.0 team GPA or higher were Women's Swimming, Tennis, Basketball, and Soccer (in the Fall) as well as Men's Tennis.
Another outstanding achievement by our students occurred when 8 student-athletes were honored with Academic All-American status by earning a 3.6 GPA or higher through 45 or more college credits.
Congratulations to last years student-athletes, teams, and coaches for their exceptional performance both in the classroom and in their respective sports.
