OCC Baseball Player Honored as Region XIX Robert Zifchak Male Scholar Athlete of the Year

OCC Catcher, Pete Dacenko, was selected by Region XIX as the 2009 Robert Zifchak Male Scholar Athlete of the Year.  This award is voted on and given each year to one male athlete in Region XIX who stands out both as a student and as an athlete.

As an NJSTARS scholar-athlete at OCC, Pete was honored for his academic success at the Conference, Regional, and National levels with the following:                                         

• NJCAA Academic All-American 2009
• Academic All-Region 2009
• Academic All-Conference 2009
• Academic All-Region 2008
• Academic All-Conference 2008                                                  

Other athletic honors include:

• All-Conference 2009
• All-Region 2009
• Team MVP 2009
