2009 OCC Softball Finishes Strong

OCC softball had a fine season finishing strong at the end  with a memorable win over Sussex CC by a score of 5 – 4 on April 19.  This win marked  the 350th career win for OCC Head Coach Ilene Cohen who has decided after 19 years to retire from coaching. This 2009 season was highlighted when pitcher/captain Alley Bankos pitched a No Hitter and a Shutout on April 13 vs. Montgomery CC when the team won by a score of 11 – 0.   From this year’s team Four(4) players were named to the All Conference team 1st Baseman -Brittnay MacNeil, Infielder-Courtney Olsen, Outfielders- Melanie Sutter, and Robynn Frank. In addition to the above team Courtney, Melanie and Brittany were selected to the All Region XIX team and Robynn was named the most valuable player. Congratulations to the team for a terrific season.
