Ocean County College Women’s Tennis Finishes Fourth at 2011 NJCAA Division III National Tournament

Ocean County College won three national championships and finished fourth as a team in a field of 10 teams at the 2011 Division III National Tennis Tournament played at the Billy Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. the home of the U.S. Open Tennis Championships.

Mikaela Louise Chua won the second singles championship and teamed with Annmarie Wodell to also win the second doubles title. Wodell was runner up in the third singles flight. Kaitlyn Scrudato won the championship at fourth singles. Chua, Wodell, and Scrudato were all designated first team All-Americans in recognition of their achievements.

In addition to her accomplishments on the tennis courts, Scrudato received the award given to a second year player with highest Grade Point Average participating in the tournament. Her GPA is 4.0.
