Athletic Hall of Fame
The Ocean County College Athletic Hall of Fame was established to honor former OCC student/athletes, coaches or others whose achievements have had a significant impact on the OCC athletic program.
Criteria for Nomination
Athlete:
- Nominee must be a two-year athlete of the OCC.
- Eligibility for admission begins the seventh year after the nominee’s departure.
- Nominee must have had significant impact in her/his sport; defined as an All-Conference performer or equivalent.
- Nominee must have maintained at 2.0 grade point average
Coach:
- Nominee must have been an outstanding coach at OCC for three or more years.
- Must be retired from OCC for a minimum of one year.
- Coaching achievements must be at the state or regional level or beyond.
- Must have been an employee in good standing during career.
Other
Candidates:
Individuals who do not qualify under the criteria for student/athlete or coach due to extenuating or extraordinary conditions may be eligible upon the consideration and approval of the OCC Athletic Hall of Fame Committee.
Nominating Procedure:
Nominations for induction into the OCC Athletic Hall of Fame will be accepted by the committee on an ongoing basis. Nomination forms are available through the Office of Alumni Affairs and must be completed for all nominees. Those nominated who meet the criteria of the Athletic Hall of Fame will remain eligible for the award for seven years.
