Ocean
County College won the Drexel
Open on
May 7-8, 2005.
The regatta was sailed at the Corinthian Yacht Club, located on
the Delaware River.
Congratulations to Greer
Scholes and Genevieve Semple for winning
the A division in the Drexel Open. Congratulations
go to Cori Erb and Karalyn Rapp for winning the
B division in the Drexel Open.
Greer Scholes
and Jen Semple dominated the regatta, winning
all but two of their 12 races sailed, over two
days at the Corinthian Yacht Club, on the Delaware
river. They
finished with 14 points.
Cori Erb and Karalyn
Rapp finished first in the B division with
20 points.
After sailing last weekend against
the best in the country in the American
Trophy, OCC dominated the Drexel Open regatta.
Winning the
OCC open in early April, showing well at the
American and now finishing with an overwhelming
performance at the Drexel Open is a great
way for the OCC Sailing Team to end a remarkable
season.
This win was a spectacular way
for Greer Scholes to finish his two years
at OCC. Greer has not yet determined what
school he will be attending in the fall. He
will be graduating this month as a member of
the National Honor Society.
