Q. What is the one piece of advice you would give our current OCC students?  

A. NEVER … NEVER …NEVER let fear dictate who you are or who you want to be.  Fear should never stop you from reaching for your goals.  All goals are obtainable regardless of their size. The best strategy is to define the goal and work backwards on the steps you need to accomplish, until you are back to where you began. That will be your first step!   When you’re equipped with the roadmap for success, fear isn’t in the equation.

Q. What is one characteristic that you believe every leader should possess?  

A. Every leader needs to possess character, the ability to listen, the thirst for continued knowledge, and believe in service to others.

Q. What mantra or mission statement has helped you succeed?  

A. “If your life was a movie – would you pay to see it?  If you wouldn’t pay to see, why pay so dearly to live it”.     These words were told to me over and over again by my brother Leo, starting when I was thirteen.  I replay this statement often in my head.  The words help to push me past settling for mediocre.  I chose to have my life be defined in bold letters!
