Students Learning About Politics at Ocean County College Present “Free Speech & College Campuses” – November 7

Students Learning About Politics (S.L.A.P.) at Ocean County College (OCC) will host YouTube star Brooks Gibbs’ Free Speech & College Campuses in 2017 on Tuesday, November 7 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gateway Lecture Hall (Building #101), Main Campus, College Drive, Toms River, NJ.  Admission is free and open to the public.

In “Free Speech & College Campuses in 2017” Gibbs will explain the 1st Amendment’s “Right to Free Speech,” identify which speech is protected by the U.S. Constitution, and discuss whether college campuses can shut speech down.

Gibbs is an award-winning social skills educator. He teaches strategies for conflict resolution with a special emphasis on emotional resilience and the Golden Rule. An elite communicator whose message has reached millions through a skillful balance of wit and wisdom, Gibbs has presented to over 1,500 schools and youth leadership organizations.
