Harold Shale: The Comet with No Tale Premieres March 31 at Novins

The Interactive Storybook Series on the Dome at the Robert J. Novins Planetarium will Premiere the children’s story Harold Shale: The Comet with No Tail on Saturday, March 31 at 10:30 a.m. (craft) and 11:00 a.m. (show) at the Novins Planetarium (Bldg #13), Ocean County College Main Campus, College Drive, Toms River, NJ.  Please park in Parking Lot #2. Tickets: $10, all seats (includes craft and show).

Way out in space, far from the Earth, there’s a place called the Ort Cloud where baby comets are born. Once they learn what they are, baby comets, also called puppy comets, need to get an orbit and a tail. Take a trip through the solar system with Harold as he makes friends searching for his orbit and help Harold discover the way to get his tail. How? You’ll Find Out!

About the show’s creator: Bob Salvatore has been a Novins Planetarium Presenter since March 2014. He is a seven-time recipient of the NASA Night Sky Network Award for excellence in Public Outreach and received the “Double Star Award” and “Binocular Messier Award” from the Astronomical League. Salvatore has been a member of A.S.T.R.A. (Astronomical Society of the Toms River Area) since September 1997, serving four terms as vice president and one term as president.
