Ocean County College in collaboration with the Ocean County Office of Senior Services, Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission and the Board of Chosen Freeholders is hosting the New Jersey State Senior Citizens Annual Juried Art Contest and Exhibition.
The event is taking place at the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts Building #12, 2nd Floor Gallery on Ocean County College's Toms River campus.
Open to the Public
Friday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 23, 2016
Monday - Friday, 8am to 8pm
Saturday 9am to Noon
The exhibit includes artwork submitted by Ocean County senior artists in a wide variety of media. As in previous years, we believe this exhibit will be your opportunity to surround yourself with the beauty and emotion that art is meant to illicit.
All entries awarded first place in this exhibit are eligible to enter the New Jersey State Senior Citizens Annual Juried Art Contest and Exhibition. Several Ocean County artists have gone on to achieve recognition at the state show.
Whether you entered your work or are just visiting the Gallery, remember the words of Pablo Picasso, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.”
Wednesday, June 8 • 9am to Noon
Artwork will be received at Ocean County College in the lobby of the Jay & Linda Grunin Center for the Arts (Bldg. #12, Parking Lot #2). All artists must complete the two tags included; one should be attached to the back of the artwork and one will be submitted to the registration staff.
