Even in your first two years of college, career exploration is important.  Considering your long-term goals and plans helps you to make sure you are on the correct path to achieve your dreams.

Freshman Year

Meet with my advisor to discuss my major and decide if I’m on the right path

Talk to faculty in majors I’m considering

Attend the Transfer & Career Fair in October; consider participating in Instant Decision Days

Take introductory classes to make sure I’m in the right major or to explore options

Research internship opportunities and speak to my professors or advisor about an internship

Maintain a solid GPA, and seek resources such as tutoring to help me stay on track

Continue to maintain a solid GPA
