An elective course intended for students interested in a career in exercise science; physiologists; physical educators; coaches; sports medicine/physical therapists. The student will gain knowledge in the theory and application of exercise physiology, cardiac rehabilitation, sports performance and fitness. In addition, this course will include information on training for improvements, exercise metabolism, neuromuscular function, and health related fitness. It is highly recommended that students enrolling in this course have taken high school biology or HEHP 239.
