This course is intended to introduce student to the use of various types of digital cameras and related photographic equipment. Included in the course study is the use and handling of assorted types of digital cameras in a variety of picture taking applications. Further, students will learn to download the images for computer enhancement in a broad range of both commercial and fine art work exploring the full potential of this image making photographic medium. Emphasis in the course will be placed on both field and studio work involving but not limited to advertising, portraiture, product and fine art photography. Students will ultimately gain a working knowledge within the full range of digital still photography and the computer applications in the manipulation and computer enhancement of the still digital photographic image. Portfolios of individualized student work will be created by each student enrolled in the course.
