Use the Library Catalog to locate books in the library on your topic:

  • Perform an All Fields search using keywords such as "civil war " or "air force AND Korea." These searches will search the entire records of all the items in the catalog, including author, title, and subject areas.
  • Perform a subject search using a keyword such as "military history " to search for items on a specific topic.

American Memory The “War, Military” section has a large primary source collection featuring photographs, letters, and maps spanning US military history from the American Revolution to September 11th.
eHistory Features articles, biographies, timelines, and images for the Civil War, World War II, and the Vietnam War.
U.S. Army Center of Military History The “Reference Topics” section details campaigns, casualties, notable officers, and organizational history.  The site also features a large photo gallery.
