Relaxed performances are designed to create a welcoming environment for all visitors\, including individuals with neurodiversity and sensory needs. These dedicated performances will feature all the joy of a typical theater setting\, with a few adjustments to help attendees feel more comfortable. This can include adjustments to lighting and sound\, an environment that allows for movement and breaks when needed\, and an inclusive staff that welcomes guests from the moment they arrive. Families who do not require these accommodations are still welcome to attend. \nAbout the Dogs\nMutts Gone Nuts Mission & Assurances: Our show’s dogs were adopted from animal shelters or from rescue groups. We use all positive\, reward-based training methods\, which means: We reward and reinforce the behaviors that we want (with treats\, toys\, praise) and we ignore the behaviors we don’t want. We look for what our dogs like to do naturally\, and cultivate those talents. \nLiving Conditions for our dogs: Our dogs travel in large\, padded\, climate controlled kennels for their safety when on tour. They have 2 acres of fenced area to run when at home. DESCRIPTION:  \nGet Tickets \n  \nMain Stage\n(Building 11A)\nTickets $39\nFree for OCC students \n \nKrakauer & Tagg’s Good Vibes Explosion is a touring project that was born in the midst of the pandemic lockdowns of 2020. Conceived and created by Grammy-nominated “ebullient clarinet wizard” (Time Out NY) David Krakauer and multi-instrumentalist/producer Kathleen Tagg\, this project showcases a multi-generational/high-octane group of collaborators from very different backgrounds\, hailing from the USA\, Canada\, Iran and South Africa. \nTogether they embrace the diversity of today’s America through their unique take on a multitude of traditional roots musics\, bringing their enormous musical and cultural diversity to the project and collaborating to create powerful original material. Old forms are celebrated both by bringing them into a 21st century sound-world and expanding the context to make room for new stories. \nFeatured on shows such as NPR’s Morning Edition and Radio France International (RFI) Sessions Live\, this project was created in response to the current climate of polarization that pervades our daily lives. In these uncertain times\, it’s a chance to come together to celebrate our common humanity and foster joy\, positivity and togetherness. \nTheir album\, Mazel Tov Cocktail Party\, has received rave reviews across North America and Europe: \nFrance’s Le Monde says: “a breath of fresh air\, an incentive to dance…In the face of the overwhelming negativity and alarming rise of hatred and intolerance in today’s world\, let’s breathe and dance together…More than a suggestion\, an injunction” \nRoots World says: “An informal cocktail party typically lasts a few hours\, and this one ends all too soon. 5 stars” \nThey have performed at venues that include Paris’ famed 2000-seater Théâtre du Châtelet and Vienna’s Porgy & Bess Club\, and in venues large and small in France\, Holland\, Austria and the USA. \nKrakauer’s klezmer-influenced clarinet leads the way along with Tagg’s quirky keys\, electronics\, electric cello & production; Martin Shamoonpour’s high-energy contributions on daf\, riq\, darbuka\, jaw harp and flutes; Jerome Harris’ driving bass lines and vocals; rapper and singer Sarah MK’s evocative vocals in Québécois French and English; and Yoshie Fruchter’s wailing oud and electric guitar. In addition\, electronic beats by Jeremy Flower\, Socalled and Selwa Abd (aka Bergsonist) round out the sound for layering with the live performance.The project was initially created in isolation\, individually and remotely in living rooms and basements in New York\, upstate NY and Canada- with band members meeting in person for the first time a year after the project was recorded and the music videos were made. \nTheir influences are global\, but the sound they create collectively has produced something uniquely their own. In a short period of time\, she went from graduating from Berklee College of Music to winning the 2019 Latin GRAMMY® Award for Best New Artist. That same year\, her full-length debut\, Voy (I Go)\, produced by the award-winning Javier Limón for Casa Limón Records\, garnered praise from NPR and featured the hit “Me Llaman Nella” (They Call Me Nella). The title track was named the 14th best song of 2019 by The New York Times\, spanning all genres. \nMerging Venezuela’s folkloric roots\, modern production elements \, and inspiration from Andalusia\, Nella’s music echoes globally. SUMMARY:Brass Queens
DESCRIPTION:  \nGet Tickets \n  \nMain Stage\n(Building 11A)\nTickets $24\nFree for OCC Students \n \nBrass Queens is a female-led\, New York-based brass band that has been dominating the brass band scene since 2019. \nFinding that they shared similar frustrations about the emerging brass band scene in New York City\, co-founders Alex Harris and Ally Chapel came together to form a group dedicated to showcasing the talents of female musicians in a landscape that was dominated by male musicians and bandleaders. After debuting in March 2019\, Brass Queens grew to be a fixture in the local music scene and was dubbed “the hardest working band in town” by their peers. The Queens gained a dedicated following through outdoor performances on the streets of Brooklyn and playing pop-up events in their community through the pandemic. \nA core value of the band is to play for as many audiences as possible to increase the visibility of female musicians in brass bands. Brass Queens tour regularly across the country and internationally. Recent highlights include a New Year’s Eve performance in Telluride\, multiple nights at Favela Chic in New Orleans\, and a sold out show at Cliff Bell’s in Detroit. They also make appearances on festival stages including the Ottawa Jazz Festival\, Northlands Music Festival\, MusikFest\, Duck Jazz Festival\, and multiple appearances at the Exit Zero Jazz Festival. Brass Queens has played major events like The Met Gala and David Byrne’s “Amazing Humans Doing Amazing Things!” Variety Show\, and for notable clients including New Balance\, Chanel\, Saks Fifth Avenue\, Tiffany & Co.\, Bombas\, Perrier\, Facebook\, Instagram\, and Pinterest. They have also performed on national television on Good Morning America\, and had multiple shows at iconic New York venues like The Capitol Theater\, Blue Note Jazz Club\, and Brooklyn Bowl. They are also the 2023 winners of We Love NYC’s Rider’s Choice Award\, after the people of New York voted the Queens as their favorite of the MTA’s Music Under New York’s roster of subway performers. \nThe band has developed a signature style that sits right at the intersection of the Big Apple and the Big Easy. Their sound is deeply inspired by and pays homage to the New Orleans brass band tradition while injecting the upbeat\, multifaceted energy of their New York home into each performance. The result is a nonstop party: a Brass Queens show will have you singing along to classic pop hits\, dancing your heart out to reggaeton\, and feeling like you’ve been transported to Frenchman Street. In February 2021\, Brass Queens released their debut EP Royal Street\, which takes listeners on a six-song journey beginning in the heart of New York City with a cover of Cameo’s Candy\, down to Royal St. with their take on a New Orleans traditional\, Little Liza Jane. In November 2023\, the band released their first full-length album titled Black & Gold\, which is an ode to the Brass Queen’s incredible early fanbase who supported the band from the virtual performances and socially-distanced street corners during the COVID-19 pandemic\, to the crowded clubs and packed venues of today. Less than a year later\, Brass Queens released their second full-length album and their first album of all-original music titled Hot Tub Sessions Vol. I.

He is a straight-ahead jazz guitarist rooted in the traditions of swing\, blues and the great American Songbook.  He has played with such jazz artists as vocalists Freddie Cole and Cecile McLorin Salvant\, trumpeter Wynton Marsalis\, and multireedists Will and Pete Anderson\, and has  performed at venues such as the Blue Note\, Birdland\, and Jazz at Lincoln Center. \nMoezinia has been influenced on guitar by jazz giants like Barney Kessel\, Herb Ellis\, Joe Pass\, and Jim Hall. In an interview with Jazz Guitar Today\, Moezinia talked about Hall. “Jim to me\,” he said\, “is the father of modern jazz guitar in that he opened the door musically for people like Pat Metheny and Kurt Rosenwinkel.  So\, I think this (his 1975 Jim Hall Live! album) is a must for any aspiring jazz guitarists as well as any jazz guitar enthusiasts.” \nJazz on a Sunday Afternoon is made possible through funding from the Wintrode Family Foundation\, the Ocean County College Foundation\, and support from the New Jersey Jazz Society.

For the young boy\, two other disturbances occur that summer. The sisters acquire their first radio\, whose music transforms them from correct Catholic women to shrieking\, stomping banshees in their own kitchen. And he meets his father for the first time\, a charming Welsh drifter who strolls up the lane and sweeps his mother away in an elegant dance across the fields. From these small events spring the cracks that destroy the foundation of the family forever. Victoria has appeared with the Bavarian Radio Orchestra chamber players\, at the Bard Music Festival\, the Music Mountain Festival\, in the New York Philharmonic Ensembles series at Merkin Hall\, at Summit Music Festival\, at Bargemusic\, in the Gessner- Schocken concert series in Cambridge\, WMP Concert Hall\, and the Nicolas Roerich Museum concert series in New York City. \nAfter graduating from Jerusalem Conservatory\, Victoria continued her education at the Longy School of Music and New England Conservatory. While pursuing various degrees in solo and chamber music performance\, she was selected to perform in masterclasses given by Dmitri Bashkirov\, Menahem Pressler\, and Richard Goode\, among others. Her principal teachers include Irina Kivaiko\, Issak Kossov\, Victor Rosenbaum\, Sally Pinkas\, Eda Shlyam\, and Eteri Andjaparidze. \nAs a soloist with orchestra\, Victoria has performed with the Jerusalem Chamber Orchestra\, the Longy School of Music Chamber Orchestra\, the Riverside Orchestra\, and the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra. She has performed at the Quartet Program in Pennsylvania and participated in the Tel-Hai International Piano Festival in Israel and the Lyrica Chamber Music Festival in New Jersey. \nShe is on the coaching faculty in the Vocal Department at Montclair State University as well as on piano faculty at the Bard College Conservatory Preparatory Division.. Victoria is also the co-founder of the Newburgh Music Festival\, a week long immersive classical music program devoted to both solo performance and chamber music\, located on the shore of the Hudson river\, in Newburgh\, NY. \nThis event is funded by the Ocean County College Foundation.

The company draws from Irish music\, step dance footwork\, and spatial patterns to create high-energy\, rhythmically based work that is accessible to a broad audience. \nRecent New York City performance highlights include: NBC’s “The Today Show\,“ a guest performance with The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall\, the company’s annual season at The Irish Arts Center\, “The Yeats Project“ at the Irish Repertory Theatre\, The Duke Theater on 42nd Street\, Celebrate Brooklyn\, Snug Harbor Cultural Center\, the annual NYC Irish Dance Festival\, “Stam-pede“ Percussive Dance Festival at Symphony Space and a guest appearance with Mick Moloney at the Skirball Center. \nThe company has performed at venues throughout the United States including MASS MoCA\, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival\, The Yard at Martha’s Vineyard\, Wesleyan University (Connecticut)\, The Center for Performing Arts and SUNY Orange (upstate New York)\, The Dance Complex\, Summer Stages Dance\, and the JFK Museum (Massachusetts)\, The Goose Route Dance Festival (West Virginia)\, The Valentine Theatre (Ohio)\, St. Mary’s University (Minnesota) and the San Jose Fleadh (California).
