DESCRIPTION:The Novins Academy of Wizardry is pleased to welcome all students of the magical sciences to the next Term Preview. Learn how the characters and events in Harry Potter take their origins from the skies above in our specially themed live show. The Novins Academy Houses of Leo\, Corvus\, Ursa\, and Serpens are very similar\, and seats are conveniently color-coded to match other familiar wizarding houses. Wizardly dress or house colors encouraged. \nAt 1:30 pm\, we will host a full Open House to welcome students to the Wizarding academy. The event is approximately 1.5 hours long and includes lobby activities before the theater show\, and a small Trolley treat afterwards. Students of the magical sciences can collect house points during activities\, including the Deathly Hallows Scavenger Hunt and Quidditch practice. Afterward\, in the dome\, sample courses\, including Astronomy\, Wizarding History\, Care of Magical Creatures\, and a touch of Defense Against the Dark Arts while practicing spells and testing your knowledge with our Trivial Trivia contests. Event Price $21 for all attendees\, wand available as add-on for $5. \nAt 4:00 pm\, we will once again offer the preview classes in a one hour show only format. This shorter preview includes Astronomy\, Wizarding History\, Care of Magical Creatures\, and Defense Against the Dark Arts and allows you to practice your wand skills with select spells. Although you can choose seating by prospective house\, houses will not compete in the house cup activities prior to the show. DESCRIPTION:Tiki Barber is a national media personality\, serving as a color analyst for the NFL on CBS. He is also the afternoon drive co-host of Evan and Tiki on WFAN in New York. Barber co-hosted Tiki and Tierney for over ten years at both CBS Sports Radio and WFAN. He was a correspondent for NBC’s The Today Show\, as well as an analyst on NBC’s Football Night in America. During Barber’s NBC tenure\, he contributed at the 2008 Summer Olympics and the 2010 Winter Olympics. DESCRIPTION:Ocean County College will hold three smaller graduation ceremonies on Thursday\, May 22\, 2025\, to accommodate all our graduates and three guests per graduate. These ceremonies will take place in the HPE Gymnasium (Building #29) at 10:00 a.m.\, 1:00 p.m.\, and 4:00 p.m. \nCeremony assignments will be: \n• 10:00 a.m. – High School Academy students and graduates with last names beginning A-C \n• 1:00 p.m. – Graduates with last names beginning D-M \n• 4:00 p.m. – Graduates with last names N-Z \nGraduates should arrive one hour prior to their assigned ceremony time.  Upon arrival\, graduates must report to the Auxiliary Gymnasium for check-in. \nDue to limited space\, we must strictly enforce the three-guest limit per graduate.  We ask that everyone comply with this request to be considerate of fellow graduates and their families. \nAdditional details: \n• Doors to the Gymnasium will open one hour prior to each ceremony. \n• Each ceremony will begin promptly at the designated start time and guests should plan accordingly. \n• All campus parking lots will be open on Commencement day.  However\, due to the number of guests expected\, parking in the lot closest to the Gymnasium may not be available.  We ask attendees to allow extra time for parking. \n• A livestream will be available for additional family and friends to view the ceremony remotely. \n• The livestream will be available for on-campus viewing in the Student Center and the Conference Center. \nFor questions\, please contact the Office of Student Life at 732-255-0348. \nRead a message to graduates from OCC President\, Pamela Monaco\, Ph.D.
