DESCRIPTION:Las Guaracheras is an all-women salsa sextet born in the city of Cali\, Colombia in 2017. The ensemble´s cultural and artistic objective is to uplift a female voice within Afro-Latin music and build a more inclusive\, diverse\, and respectful cultural space for all. Their music communicates joy\, memory\, and transformation. With vibraphone\, percussion\, bass\, piano\, and vocals\, Las Guaracheras presents an explosive show that provokes dancing\, singing\, and reflection. \nAmong multiple presentations in the best salsa forums in Colombia\, Las Guaracheras have performed on stages and festivals such as Salsa al Parque in Bogotá\, Portamérica Latitudes in Guadalajara\, Mexico\, Las Fiestas del Pitic in Hermosillo\, Mexico\, Sunfest in Canada\, Feria de Cali\, Sevijazz\, the Colsubsidio Theater in Bogotá\, BIME Spain\, Madrid\, and Barcelona. DESCRIPTION:Rider University\, founded in 1865\, is a private institution with around 3\,200 undergraduate students. Located in Lawrenceville\, NJ\, it is approximately an hour away from Ocean County College. Known for its generous transfer scholarships\, including the prestigious Full-Tuition Transfer Trustee Scholarship (which has been awarded to three OCC students in recent years)\, Rider also offers PTK scholarships\, legacy awards\, sibling grants\, and generous institutional aid. The university is recognized for its seamless transfer credit policies\, internship opportunities\, and guaranteed job or graduate school placement. Rider offers more than 70 majors\, with popular fields such as business\, education\, film and television\, sciences\, psychology\, cybersecurity\, social work\, and computer science.  Rider also participates in a free-tuition program for qualified NJ Residents.

DESCRIPTION:Join the OCC History Department and Club as they invite Maud Daume back to OCC to share her memories as a World War II hidden child and Holocaust survivor. \nBorn in Amersfoort\, the Netherlands\, Maud Dahme was six years old in 1942 when she and her sister were separated from their parents and placed in hiding by the underground Dutch resistance that opposed Adolf Hitler’s regime. \nMaud and her sister were reunited with their parents after the liberation of the Netherlands in 1945. At age 14\, the family immigrated to the United States. Today\, the Flemington resident devotes her energies to Holocaust and genocide education. She remains active in the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education.

Mozart is a foul-mouthed\, graceless oaf who has that which is beyond Salieri’s envious grasp: Genius. \nGet Tickets\nAdults $21\, Seniors $19\nGeneral Admission Seating \nUnder the direction of Performing Arts Program Chair Paul Chalakani\, the mission of the OCC/REP is to create opportunities for college and community participation in various rich and diverse theatrical experiences. The Company seeks to engage\, entertain\, inspire\, and educate to enhance the cultural life of Ocean County College and the surrounding communities. The OCC/REP provides OCC students\, faculty\, staff\, and residents of neighboring communities the opportunity to attend and/or participate in quality performances of theatrical works – musicals and plays\, classical and modern\, traditional and experimental\, through a well-balanced theatrical season. Additionally\, the OCC/REP provides an environment for students of our performing arts program to apply what they are learning in a collaborative and encouraging format. The OCC/REP celebrates the power of the theatre to illuminate and mirror the human experience. \nThe OCC Repertory Theatre Company is funded\, in part\, by the Ocean County College Foundation.
