Free Family Fun at the Grunin Center This Summer!

Family-friendly entertainment is the star on the Main Stage at the Jay and Linda Grunin Center for the Arts this summer, with spectacular shows being offered as part of the CAMP (Community Arts and Music Programming) series. All CAMP shows are free, with limited tickets available to the public. The shows include:

Doktor Kaboom! Look Out! Science is Coming!

Friday, July 8 at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Doktor Kaboom (David Epley) takes his audience on an educational tour of the modern scientific method, using humor and comedy to demonstrate applications of the physical sciences. A sidesplitting journey of increasingly spectacular (and often successful) science experiments designed to involve, excite, educate, and entertain.

Twinkle Time

Wednesday, July 27 at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Award-winning kindie music phenomenon Twinkle presents her pop/rock/hip hop concert, Twinkle Time! featuring Twinkle’s distinct vocals and high-energy hip hop dancing, and backed by the sparkling sounds of her incomparable band.

The Amazing Max

Wednesday, August 3 at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Max Darwin combines magic and comedy in this hilarious live show, making objects appear and disappear and generally defying the laws of physics inches from theatergoers’ faces. This high-energy, interactive and all-around silly show is appropriate for audiences of all ages (recommended 3 & up) and is a perfect way to spend time with the entire family.

StoryFaces

Thursday, August 11 at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Painter and storyteller Christopher Agostino brings audience volunteers on stage and uses face painting to illustrate stories as he tells them. Captivated audience members learn about world cultures and listen to wonderful stories, ranging from the comic adventure of The Amazing Face Story to the heroic tale of Punia and the King of the Sharks.
