Donating to the Library
The college library accepts some donations including but not limited to: books for any age range, sheet music, DVDs, and CDs. We encourage those who would like to donate to read the following information. Please contact the director, Donna Rosinski-Kauz, to schedule drop-off or pickup at drosinski-kauz@ocean.edu
Information and Guidelines
All donated materials must be in good condition. Once donated, the items become property of the library. Donated materials are reviewed by the subject area librarian and placed where needed in the collection. If the items do not meet the criteria set forth by the area librarian, they will be placed on the library’s free cart for the broader community.
The library is prohibited from appraising book donations of any kind.
All donors are given a receipt of gift form.
Items Not Accepted:
- Items in poor condition
- Text books that are more than 5 years old
- Nursing books/text books that are more than 3 years old
- Sets of Encyclopedias
- Magazines
- Books over ten years old, with the exception of historical materials
