Fairleigh Dickinson University Burgundy and Blue Connection

  • Ocean County College participates in a formal articulation program with Fairleigh Dickinson University. The Burgundy-Blue Connection (B-BC), the program is available to any student who is currently matriculated or intends to matriculate at Ocean County College. Participants must first receive an associate degree from Ocean County College. Upon transfer to Fairleigh Dickinson, they are awarded a B-BC Achievement Grant of approximately four thousand dollars ($4,000.00). Two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) will be awarded each of the first two years of full-time study at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
  •  In addition Burgundy-Blue Connection students are eligible for academic achievement scholarships plus need-based financial assistance. Ocean County College students accepted for transfer will be treated on an equal basis with currently enrolled students with regard to financial aid and other student support services.

Fairleigh Dickinson University Degree Completion

  • Ocean County College graduates in A.A. or A.S. degree programs may transfer up to a maximum of 64 credits to the Bachelor of Arts in Individualized Studies with concentrations in Hotel and Restaurant Management or Business and Technology. Courses in excess of 64 credits are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Classes required to complete these degrees are offered on the Ocean County College campus or one of its satellite facilities.

Scholarships

  • Burgundy-Blue Connection Achievement Grant
    Upon transfer to Fairleigh Dickinson University, students are awarded a B-BC Achievement Grant of approximately four thousand dollars ($4,000.00). Two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) will be awarded each of the first two years of full-time study at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
  • Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
    Transfer students with an earned associate’s degree who are members of Phi Theta Kappa are eligible for a $18,000 PTK Scholarship. Candidates must submit a copy of their PTK certificate along with proof of graduation with an associate’s degree from a community college.  This scholarship is offered for a maximum of two years.  Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Transfer Scholarship
    All transfer students applying to the University who have completed a minimum of 24 college credits are automatically evaluated for Transfer Scholarships. These scholarships range from $5,000 to $14,000 per academic year for a maximum of three years at full-time enrollment status. Recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
