Enrollment Services

The Hub is OCC’s one-stop express service for students. Located in the Student Enrollment Building, students can stop by to discuss financial aid, registration, academic advising appointments, and much more! Visit the HUB or contact the HUB at hub@ocean.edu or 732-255-0482.

After the start of the semester, students can add and drop courses through Student Planning up until the Census date.

You can check the Academic & Registration Calendar for important semester related dates, such as the add/drop deadline, the semester start/end dates, and holidays.

Disability Services provides reasonable academic accommodations for eligible students with disabilities. Students requesting accommodations must contact the office to initiate a request for services and receive an official accommodation plan for each academic semester.

Payment Plans
Ocean County College offers a payment plan that divides the tuition and fee payments into equal installments, after pending financial aid and scholarships are considered and the initial deposit.

Payment Plan Steps:

  • Sign in to Ocean Connect
  • Click on Student Finance and select Make a Payment
  • Click the Payment link at the top
  • Select Enroll Today
  • Select Proceed to Processor

Financial Aid
Financial Aid helps students pay for college through a variety of scholarships, grants, and loans. To qualify for Federal or State aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Scholarships
The OCC College Foundation, as well as local and national organizations and foundations, offers students scholarships based on various criteria and eligibility. The OCC Foundation Scholarship is awarded per semester to multiple recipients. Visit the Foundation Scholarship page to apply for scholarships.

Advising and Transfer Services are available to assist students with understanding degree requirements, transfer, and create plans that help achieve academic goals.

Career services offer a number of services and resources to help you find a career in this changing and growing job market, including:

Textbooks and electronic course materials are included in the total cost of tuition.  Through The First Day® Complete Program, your books will be delivered to you and you won’t have to pay for books at the start of the semester!

The OCC Library offers a variety of services to students to help with coursework and assignments, including online articles, journals, and research guides. Additionally, the Library has several types of study rooms, computers and printers, and plenty of comfortable seating.

If you’re not on campus, you can access the Library’s remote services from anywhere with your Ocean log in.

The Testing Center offers make-up and accommodation tests, optional Accuplacer placement tests for English, mathematics, AAF for Pre-Calculus/Calculus, TEAS (Pre-Nursing Test of Essential Academic Skills), and more.

The OCC Tutoring Center provides academic support in a wide variety of subjects to help you succeed in your classes.  The center is operating remotely, offering General Tutoring Services, Writing Services, and Mathematics Services to students throughout the semester.

Student Services to Support You

The Counseling Center provides professional and evidence-based counseling services and programs to assist students through challenging times.  A number of supports and resources are available through the Counseling Center including our weekly Relax and Recharge sessions.  Visit our web page for more information about the array of services and resources we offer.

EOF is an academic support program, making college accessible to students through funding and services.

Student Support Services assists first-generation college students, low-income college students, and/or college students with disabilities through a holistic, inclusive, and collaborative environment.

OCC’s Veteran and Military Resource Center (V.M.R.C.) provides social, educational, recreational, mentoring, advocacy, leadership, and academic support services designed to ensure your well-being, success, retention, and graduation. You’ll find a dedicated office and staff that works exclusively with military and veteran-affiliated students to achieve their goals at the V.M.R.C.

HRTM Connect brings together hospitality businesses and Hospitality, Recreation, and Tourism Management (HRTM) students to discuss industry trends, showcase customer service skills, and offer students potential career opportunities in local hospitality companies.

The Social Justice Series continues its lineup of events for the 2021-2022 academic year. Presentations include topics relating to environmental change, mental health awareness, the criminal justice system, feminism, LGTBQ rights, and more!

OCC’s cafeteria serves Bubbakoo’s Burritos at the Larson Student Center. Students can choose between Bubbakoo’s Burritos, which serves tacos, burritos, and quesadillas, and Toss ‘Em Wing Factory, which offers a variety of wings. The Starbucks Coffee stand is located just outside the cafeteria, operating as Koo’s Coffee Co.

Helping Hands provides snacks/drinks/meals, resources for financial assistance, and referrals for housing support to students in need.

Technology and Support

Ocean Connect allows you to register, check grades, pay a bill, view financial aid status, complete coursework, and access your OCC email among many other things.

Canvas is OCC’s Learning Management System (LMS), meaning this is your virtual classroom for your online and hybrid courses. Access to Canvas is through Ocean Connect under the “My Classes” link.  This orientation is designed to teach you the basics of Canvas and prepare you for your classes at OCC.  Students may also wish to download the Canvas App on their smartphones or tablets to stay up to date with their coursework from anywhere.

Student Planning is an online resource that provides students and advisors the tools they need to plan and track progress toward degree completion as well as add and drop courses.  This page provides resources and tutorials for you to learn how to plan courses for graduation, register for courses, and see how your credits may fit into a different degree program.

The Ocean County College app puts your campus in one convenient location. Through the app, you can explore everything OCC offers; keep track of dates important to you, and access campus services and resources, all from your smartphone or tablet.  This semester, the App will certainly be the place to be to get the full student experience and engage with other students.  Download it today!

The IT Department provides 24/7 phone support for faculty, staff, and students. Students can call 1-844-344-3113 to reach the Student IT Help Desk during business hours, or  1-866-861-1122  after hours.
