Be knowledgeable regarding post-secondary education options for individuals with disabilities.  Provide appropriate liaison services to parents, community, vocational institutions and other colleges. C.  Education/Training - Advising/Counseling:  Assist with intake interviews as requested.  Act as academic advisor for assigned students.  Instruct students in learning strategies.  Teach sections of Student Success classes up to 9 credits per semester.  Assist in conducting/developing staff training and in-service programs for internal departments and off-campus agencies/institutions.  Assist in conducting summer orientation and skills development programs.  Ensure that all students with disabilities covered under 504/ADA have access to mandated services at OCC.  Provide information and support to OCC students covered by ADA/504 regarding accessing mandated accommodations.   D.  Technical:  Formally assess students for learning disability diagnosis.  Generate psycho-educational reports/profiles including interpretations and learning recommendations.  Review curricula for Student Success classes and revise to expand direct services to all students with disabilities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Required:  Master's degree in Special Education or related field.   LDTC Certification.  Two years' experience with a Child Study Team, preferably at the secondary level.  Two years' teaching experience with disabled adolescents or adults.  Strong background in diagnostic skills and cognitive remediation.  Working knowledge of computers.  Preferred:  Knowledge and/or experience with learning strategies instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Required:   High School or equivalent diploma.  Successful completion of a high school level bookkeeping or accounting course.  Three years' prior office work experience required, preferably in a cashiering or bookkeeping capacity.  Must be able to work effectively with the public and with other employees and must have good communication skills.  Preferred:  Computer literacy strongly desired.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:   Coordinate with the Barnegat Bay Program's Scientific and Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) and affiliated work groups regarding meetings, agendas, grants, reports, and other tasks.  Oversee development of the BBNEP’s State of the Estuary Report.  Develop, both independently and in collaboration with BBNEP partners, new extramurally funded projects (i.e., write grant proposals to fund projects) to address science needs as identified in BBNEP’s Strategic Plan.  Oversee existing extramurally funded and other projects, as assigned.  Provide scientific support to BBNEP staff and partner organizations on priority program issues such as eutrophication, restoration, and climate change.  Supervise the Program Assistant, interns, and student workers.  Assist the Program Director in responding to inquiries from BBNEP partners.  Establish, build, and/or maintain relationships with representatives of the scientific community.  Supervise the planning, agenda development, organization and coordination of arrangements for conferences and workshops in cooperation with other federal, state and local government organizations.  Provide direction and work with other BBNEP staff to support all BBNEP committee meetings as necessary.  Attend annual meetings of the National Estuary Program and other professional and technical meetings, symposia, and workshops; participate in special projects and training.  Maintain appropriate competency in contemporary computer technology.  Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:  Required:    Master’s degree in an environmental science or related field, including aquatic biology or conservation.  At least five years of work experience in environmental science, including experience in at least one of the following areas: (1) water quality and/or eutrophication, (2) harmful algae and/or seagrass biology, and (3) aquatic restoration, or (4) estuarine ecology.  Knowledge of environmental sciences and the ecology of estuaries, especially shallow lagoonal systems such as the Barnegat Bay.  Knowledge of scientific methods, including research experience in both field and laboratory settings.  Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following: data management, statistical analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and remote sensing.  At least three years of professional experience in giving oral presentations and/or generating scientific and other technical reports.  Demonstrated success in obtaining external funding for research or other technical activities (e.g., monitoring, restoration).  Previous work experience in which assignments were routinely completed independently and with limited supervision.  Preferred:  Familiarity with federal and state regulations regarding water quality, stormwater management, and restoration.  At least one year of professional experience working with federal, state, and local government agencies, academic institutions, nongovernmental organizations, businesses, and local citizens.  Doctorate degree.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Required:  Master’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Human Resources Administration or related field, or a Juris Doctorate degree.  A minimum of five years of successful leadership experience in the area of human resources and labor relations at a unionized public agency, educational institution or similar organization.  Evidence of strategic leadership and excellent communication, facilitation, conflict management, interpersonal, and team-building skills.  Extensive knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to human resources and employee relations.  Evidence of effective supervision, management, and evaluation of the work of others.  Demonstrated commitment to affirmative action and equal opportunity in staffing and operations.  Experience in negotiating, preparing contract language and administering labor contracts.  Demonstrated computer literacy/proficiency and use of on-line research tools.  A record of personal and professional integrity and the judgment and ability to make independent decisions.
